While browsing I sometimes come across words whose meanings I do not know. I thought of sharing the following JavaScript bookmarklets I use, that quickly open the meaning of the currently selected word on a web page, in your favourite online dictionary. So you can find meanings in just one click. :)

One click to get a word's meaning!

Example:
Select any word on this post that you want to search in the Encarta Online dictionary, and click here.

I have come up with the following JavaScript Bookmarklets for various popular online dictionaries. To create a handy shortcut, click on a link and drag & drop to the bookmarks toolbar of your browser.
